Preschool Fall Door Decorating Ideas

Welcome Fall to Class!

As Fall draws closer, it's time to think about going back to school and sprucing up our classroom for the new term. Most likely you will want to decorate the door first since this is the first thing the kids will see. Take inspiration from the beautiful Autumnal colors and make paper leaves, paper flowers and critters such as squirrels. You can put pictures of the kids on the door and because Halloween and Thanksgiving are during the season, you can also draw from these themes too.

For an October classroom door, This Hocus Pocus, Halloween theme is adorable. You can make paper plate pumpkins or purchase similar online and add a sign that says "Hocus Pocus".

Pumpkin Patch

Make a fun pumpkin patch for your door by making pumpkins from orange paper. You can then write the names of each of the kids in your class and hang them on the door with a sign saying "the smartest pumpkins in the patch".

Give them a thoughtful message to ponder with this idea. Autumn is the season that teaches us that change can be beautiful. Add a cute little scarecrow and some pumpkins around a paper tree.

Candy Corn Door

For a super cute and quick decoration you can make a candy corn door from yello, white and orange paper. You could even add the wording "We're all sweet!". Use paper plates for eyes and add some candy corn eyebrows too.

This is another wonderful example of a Thanksgiving themed door. The top half of the door is covered in bright blue with corn while the bottom half is covered in dark gold and shows pumpkins in all their glory.
